What we collect, why we collect it, and what we'll never do with it. In plain English.

This policy explains how Arthur Pembroke ("we", "us") collects, uses and looks after your personal information when you visit our website or buy from us. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you place an order or contact us, we collect your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, and payment details. If you sign up for our emails we keep your email address.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, we collect standard device information — IP address, browser type, time zone, pages viewed, and how you reached us — through cookies and similar technologies. This helps us understand how the site is used and keep it working properly.

How we use it

To process and deliver your order, and send you order and shipping confirmations
To answer your questions and handle returns, exchanges and repairs
To screen orders for fraud and keep our checkout secure
To send you news, offers and field notes — only if you've opted in, and you can leave any time
To understand how people use the site so we can improve it

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the services that help us run the shop, and only as much as they need:

Shopify, which powers our online store and processes payments
Payment processors that handle your card securely — we never see or store your full card number
Shipping carriers, who need your address to deliver your order
Email and analytics providers that help us send messages and understand site traffic

We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep items in your bag, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site, like checkout, may not work properly without them.

Marketing emails

If you've opted in, we'll occasionally send you new arrivals, offers and the odd note from the field. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed. Unsubscribing doesn't affect order emails, which we still need to send you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or ask us to stop using it in certain ways. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and to opt out of any sale of personal information (which, as above, we don't do).

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@arthur-pembroke.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We'll respond within 30 days.

How long we keep it

We keep order information for as long as we need it to fulfil your order, handle returns and meet our tax and legal obligations. Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Keeping it safe

Our store runs on Shopify, which is PCI-DSS compliant, and all data is transmitted over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit access to those who need it.

Children

Our site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
